Houston Associate Recognized for Local Pro Bono Service

The Houston Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Houston Bar Association, recognized associate Ryan Lynch with the Outstanding Individual Contribution award at the organization’s 25th Anniversary Luncheon for his work with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers program. In 2016, Lynch provided more than 90 hours of pro bono legal assistance through the initiative.

Established in 1981, the Houston Volunteer Lawyer Program helps low-income Houstonians with their most critical legal needs, such as estate planning, family law and tax advice. The program provides more than US$4 million of donated legal services to thousands of people each year.

Lynch, an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department, focuses his practice on corporate transactions in the energy industry. He represents domestic issuers, foreign private issuers and investment banking firms in connection with public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, as well as public and private companies in connection with merger and acquisition transactions and corporate governance and compliance matters.
