Houston Partner Named a Top New M&A Law Partner
Newly-elected Houston partner Nick Dhesi earned recognition from The Deal as a rising star, being named one of the Top 21 New M&A Law Partners in the United States.
In his profile, The Deal highlights Dhesi’s work on matters such as Layne Christensen Co. on its US$536 million sale to Granite Construction Inc., and Archrock Inc. on its US$607 million acquisition of its master limited partnership, Archrock Partners LP.
Dhesi’s advice on other notable transactions garnered attention as well, such as his work on Ensco plc’s US$863 million acquisition of Atwood Oceanics Inc. in October 2017, and Rice Energy Inc.’s US$2.7 billion acquisition of privately held Vantage Energy LLC and Vantage Energy II LLC in October 2016.
Most recently Dhesi represented EQM Midstream Partners in its US$1.03 billion acquisition of a controlling interest in Eureka Midstream and Hornet Midstream.

Dhesi received his B.A. from Cornell University in 2007, and joined Latham & Watkins in 2010 after earning his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
