Latham & Watkins Advises EigenFoundation in Transaction to Acquire Code and Intellectual Property from Rio Network

EigenFoundation has announced it has acquired Rio Network’s intellectual rights, including its liquid restaking token (LRT) technology, which will be open-sourced as a reference implementation in the EigenLayer ecosystem to better support new and developing LRTs.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised EigenFoundation in the acquisition with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partners Ben Potter and Saad Khanani, with associate Chris Cruickshank.
