Latham & Watkins Advises Epiris on Demerger of Fastmarkets
Latham & Watkins has advised Epiris on the completed planned demerger of Fastmarkets from Delinian, the global B2B information services business formerly known as Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC and a portfolio company of Epiris.
A consortium led by funds managed by Epiris and Astorg acquired Euromoney in November 2022, on which Latham also advised, and rebranded it as Delinian in January 2023. As part of the transaction, it was agreed that the company would be separated into two businesses, with Fastmarkets owned and controlled by Astorg, and the remaining Delinian businesses under the majority ownership and control of Epiris.
The Latham team was led by London corporate partner Paul Dolman, with associates Suneel Basson-Bhatoa and Connie van den Berg. Advice on tax matters was provided by London partner Helen Lethaby and counsel James Leslie; on IP and data matters by London partner Christian McDermott, with associates Avinash Balendran, Liz Longster, and Oscar Bjartell; on employment and pensions matters by London counsel Shaun Thompson, with associates Paul Lawrence and Joseph Goddard; on real estate matters by London partner Quentin Gwyer and counsel Michael Beanland; and on finance matters by London partner James Chesterman and counsel Tristram Gargent.
