Latham & Watkins Advises Fresenius on Sale of Further Parts of the Vamed Business
Latham & Watkins has advised global healthcare group Fresenius on the sale of further parts of the Vamed business in Austria. The buyer is an Austrian consortium consisting of the construction companies Porr and Strabag. The transaction includes the Vamed units responsible for the technical management of the Vienna General Hospital (AKH Vienna), the Austrian project business of the Health Tech Engineering segment, and shares in several thermal spas in Austria.
Fresenius SE was represented inhouse with a legal team led by head of legal M&A/ Transformation Jan Winzen with Katharina Engels, Lisa Schickling, and Lukas Fleck.
VAMED was represented inhouse with a legal team led by head of legal Per-Oliver Gustavson and deputy head of legal Ingrid Vergeiner.
