Latham & Watkins Advises SRMG on Partnership With Warner Bros. Discovery
Transaction set to create a new free-to-air Arabic language channel for audiences in the MENA region.
Latham & Watkins has advised SRMG, the MENA region’s largest media group, on its partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, the global leader in media and entertainment, to launch Asharq Discovery, a new free-to-air Arabic language channel exclusively for audiences in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
Asharq Discovery will be the newest addition to SRMG's fast-growing media and international offerings. The new channel will be an authentic gateway connecting MENA-wide audiences to the world and global viewers to the region.
The Latham team was led by London entertainment, sports, and media partner Libby Savill, with counsel Rachael Astin and associate Alastair Mackichan.
