Latham Advises Stagecoach Group on Its £1 Billion Long Term Financing
Latham & Watkins has advised Stagecoach Group on its new £1 billion platform financing, comprising initial facilities from a consortium of banks of over £750 million and private placement tranches of approximately £250 million provided by a combination of European and US investors.
Stagecoach Group is one of the UK’s largest transport operators, connecting more than 100 major towns, cities, and villages across England, Scotland, and Wales through its bus, coach, and tram services. The group was recently ranked as the top bus operator in the UK for addressing climate change.
The Latham team was led by London infrastructure partners Seonaid Todisco and Conrad Andersen with associates Lothar Krumpen and Matthew Milne. Advice on derivatives matters was provided by London counsel Delyth Hughes and associates Nick Surry and Vadim Popov; and on tax matters by London partner Aoife McCabe and associate Isabella Wong.
