Latham Advises Synthesia on US$180 Million Series D Fundraising

Latham & Watkins has advised Synthesia, the AI-powered video communications platform, on its Series D financing round. The latest funding brings Synthesia’s total capital raised to over US$330 million and values the company at US$2.1 billion.

The additional funds will be used by Synthesia to support product development and talent growth, and to drive the expansion of its AI-powered video platform to meet the evolving needs of enterprises in several markets, including Japan, Australia, Europe, and North America.

The round was led by NEA with participation from new investors including WiL (World Innovation Lab), Atlassian Ventures, and PSP Growth, and existing investors including GV, MMC Ventures, and FirstMark.

The Latham team was led by Silicon Valley partners Seth Gottlieb and Rick Kline, and London partner Jon Fox, with London associate Madina Salavdiyeva.
