Latham Again Named Law Firm of the Year by Environmental Finance

Latham & Watkins has been named Law Firm of the Year at Environmental Finance’s 2024 Sustainable Debt Awards, formerly known as the Bond Awards. The annual award program honors organizations, teams, and deals leading innovation in the green, social, sustainability, and sustainability-linked bond and loan market.

Environmental Finance credited Latham with advising on more than US$30 billion of sustainable finance transactions throughout 2023, including the Public Investment Fund’s US$5.5 billion green bond issuance, one of the largest deals in the market last year, and Rivian Automotive’s US$1.3 billion green convertible senior notes offering.

The publication also commended Latham for supporting a range of initiatives to advance sustainable finance investment in emerging markets, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East; and for developing thought leadership and regulatory initiatives alongside numerous industry bodies.

Latham was previously named Law Firm of the Year at Environmental Finance's 2022 Bond Awards. The firm is among the top legal advisors to both issuers and underwriters on green, social, and sustainability bonds. In particular, combining broad capital markets and environmental law capabilities to navigate the most complex issues in the evolving sustainable finance market.
