Latham’s Banking Practice Leads 2021 League Tables
Latham & Watkins’ Banking Practice ranked first across multiple categories in the 2021 legal advisor league table rankings issued by Refinitiv, Debtwire, and Bloomberg, underscoring the firm’s market leadership in representing borrowers and lenders in their most complex financings around the globe. In 2021 Latham advised lenders and borrowers on more than 410 syndicated loan transactions valued at more than US$33 billion, according to Refinitiv.
Dan Seale, Global Chair of Latham’s Banking Practice, said: “We are proud to have earned these standout rankings that reaffirm Latham’s position as the go-to legal advisor for both borrowers and lenders across the global financing market. We see more deals than any other firm on both sides of the market, giving us deep understanding of the expectations and requirements of both sides to a financing transaction, as well as an unparalleled ability to provide tailored counsel to each client’s needs. In addition, as the direct lending market continues to experience rapid growth, we have drawn upon decades of experience in this market to work with top direct lenders and private capital providers on their most complex transactions. We are uniquely positioned as a firm to support lenders and borrowers across all segments of the syndicated and private debt markets.”
