Latham Counsel Named Rising Star by Asian Legal Business
Latham Hong Kong counsel Ruonan Duan has been named among Asian Legal Business’ Hong Kong Rising Stars 2024. The list highlights lawyers with great potential in their industry.
Ruonan has extensive experience in a wide range of complex banking and finance transactions, with particular emphasis on leveraged acquisition and China-related cross-border financings. She has developed a strong expertise in private credit and hybrid financings, advising clients including private equity sponsors and corporates on innovative financing solutions that blend elements of debt and equity to meet diverse capital needs.
Ruonan plays an important role in the Latham Asia finance team and has worked on a number of high-profile transactions, including advising leading global lithium producer Tianqi Lithium on its cross-border financings, Global Infrastructure Partners on its first debt financing in Asia in connection with its acquisition of Tower Vision in India, and Canadian Solar in connection with its issuance of convertible notes to PAG.
Ruonan is also a member of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association’s Young Leaders Committee and acts as a volunteer advisor to Equal Justice Hong Kong, an organization that seeks to provide free legal information and support to the community.
