Euromoney recognizes Clarinda Tjia-Dharmadi and Ji-Hyun Helena Kim for practice work; Latham wins award for offering unique mentoring opportunities to women lawyers.

Euromoney has recognized Latham & Watkins at its 2017 Asia Women in Business Law Awards in several individual lawyer and firm initiative categories, including the “Best International Firm Mentoring Program” category. The magazine named Singapore partner Clarinda Tjia-Dharmadi “Best in Energy & Natural Resources” and selected Seoul counsel Ji-Hyun Helena Kim as the winner in its “Corporate Rising Star” category. The awards honored Tjia-Dharmadi and Kim for their legal work and leadership.

Latham received the “Best International Firm Mentoring Program” award for developing seven global affinity groups, including two for women and parents. The groups — which largely focus on facilitating mentorship opportunities — have drawn hundreds of members across the firm. A number of young women associates have gained unique leadership opportunities by serving at the helm of these affinity groups along with partner advisors.

Euromoney's annual Asia Women in Business Law Awards aim to “celebrate the achievements of law firms and in-house individuals and teams setting the standard in female-friendly working practices, and women leading the field in practice areas across Asia.”
