Latham Lawyers Named Latin America’s Rising Legal Stars
Latinvex has selected counsel Marcela Ruenes and associate Daniel Chor as two of Latin America’s Rising Legal Stars for 2022, an honor that recognizes 25 up-and-coming legal leaders at international law firms doing business in Latin America. According to Latinvex, the metrics for selection included scope and prominence of work as well as future potential, which was based on a Latinvex survey of leading international law firms.
- Marcela Ruenes is counsel in the New York office. She is a member of the Finance Department as well as the Banking and Latin America Practices. Ruenes advises a full range of lead arrangers, lenders, and borrowers. Her practice focuses on complex cross-border transactions, including leveraged financings; acquisition financings; asset-based lending; investment grade loans; and debt restructurings, including debtor-in-possession and exit financings.
- Daniel Chor is an associate in the New York office. He is a member of the Finance Department and Project Development & Finance and Latin America Practices. Chor advises sponsors, lenders, issuers, and underwriters on a variety of cross-border finance transactions, including project bonds, project finance, and multisource and structured finance, with a particular focus on matters involving Latin America and the energy and infrastructure sectors.
