Latham Named 2023 Pro Bono Partner of the Year by the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice

Latham & Watkins is honored to be recognized as the 2023 Pro Bono Partner of the Year recipient by the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice (LACLJ). The award celebrates the firm’s “outstanding partnership to ensure equitable access to justice for low-income, immigrant survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.”

Founded in 1973, LACLJ provides legal advocacy services to low-income, immigrant, and Latino populations in Los Angeles, including community advocacy, domestic violence restraining orders, family law, immigration law, and other legal services.

Through our partnership with LACLJ, the firm has worked to help survivors gain access to justice, safety, and stability — including participating in LACLJ’s California Legal Access for Survivors Partnership Project, assisting in the development a new clinic model to help undocumented immigrant survivors through U Visa Adjustment of Status cases, and taking on restraining order cases.
