Latham Named Among Top Foreign Firms in India in 2024

August 5, 2024
India Business Law Journal
IBLJ recognized Latham for standout work in capital markets, M&A, and private equity matters.

The India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) again named Latham & Watkins among the top foreign law firms active in India. The list highlights firms that have “taken charge of sophisticated matters, complex projects and contentious cases, guaranteeing the loyalty and trust of clients and peers.” The recognition follows IBLJ’s naming of Latham partners Sidharth Bhasin, Andrew Bishop, and Rajiv Gupta to its International A-List earlier this year.

IBLJ noted Latham “enjoyed another stellar year on transactions with an Indian nexus, acting on private equity, M&A and joint ventures, and working on numerous IPOs.” Spotlight cases include Latham’s work advising Adani in its US$409 million senior secured notes offering, Alta Capital on its recent structured equity investments in India, and the Book Running Lead Managers on Tata Technologies US$365 million IPO on the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Latham’s multilingual and multidisciplinary India team advises local and international clients on the largest and most influential transactions and financings, as well as complex, high-value disputes. With more than 50 lawyers based in Latham offices around the globe, our India Practice advises clients on a broad range of India-related matters and transactions governed by Singapore, English, and US law.
