Latham & Watkins Named European Finance Team of the Year
Latham & Watkins has been recognized as European Finance Team of the Year at The Lawyer European Awards 2021. The firm was also Highly Commended in the Global Firm of the Year category at the prestigious annual awards showcasing the outstanding achievements of firms, teams, and individuals in the European legal industry.
The Lawyer honored Latham for advising members of the cross-holders coordination committee which became the main shareholders of the Europcar group in connection with its complex financial restructuring. The high-profile transaction involved, among other things, a significant deleveraging (including an equitization of €1,050 million euros of high yield bonds), a new money injection in the form of equity and new fleet financing facility, a €670 million refinancing of the company’s revolving credit facility and a CDS auction.
