Latham Opens Onsite Health Center in Washington, D.C. Office
Latham & Watkins LLP1 recently opened the LiveWell Center, the firm’s new onsite health center in its Washington, D.C. office, managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine. The center expands the firm’s market-leading well-being platform — LiveWell Latham — which has been providing world-class physical and mental well-being resources to its personnel for more than a dozen years.
“We’re delighted to open our onsite health center in collaboration with the prestigious Johns Hopkins Medicine. For more than 125 years, they have been at the forefront of groundbreaking research, education, and medical services, serving the DMV region, our neighboring city of Baltimore, and patients worldwide,” said Mandy Reeves, Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office at Latham & Watkins. “By offering convenient access to high-quality healthcare and comprehensive well-being programming right within our office, we aim to make it easier for our team to focus on their health and elevate their well-being.”
The LiveWell Center provides a variety of medical and preventative services, mental well-being coaching, and physical therapy. The clinical team also provides well-being programming, featuring timely and customized webinars and support group sessions on pertinent health topics throughout the year.
“At Latham, we are devoted to providing exceptional resources to support the prosperity of our people,” said Annette Sciallo, Senior Director of Well-Being & Benefits at Latham & Watkins. “Our new center transcends traditional acute care models by implementing a comprehensive approach, offering a wide range of preventative services designed to complement colleagues’ existing primary and specialty healthcare.”
The new center enriches the firm’s existing well-being platform, LiveWell Latham, which empowers colleagues to engage in their well-being and take charge of their health. The firm has developed numerous partnerships with industry experts and renowned physicians to provide high-quality programming and resources tailored to the needs of our lawyers and business professionals, worldwide. Some of LiveWell Latham’s initiatives include addressing physical and mental health, ergonomics, financial well-being, cancer care, family planning resources, caregiving support, mindfulness/meditation tools, and more.
LiveWell Center services are available to all lawyers and business professionals — including summer associates and temporary employees — in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, as well as those visiting on firm business, with nearly all services offered free of charge.
Johns Hopkins Medicine manages the LiveWell Center in adherence with Johns Hopkins medical protocols. The experienced clinical team includes a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Mental Well-Being Coach, and Physical Therapist.
This is the firm’s third LiveWell Center with Johns Hopkins Medicine. It joins centers in New York and Los Angeles.
