Since launching in 2013, the awards have celebrated the most impressive transactions and institutions in fields critical to Latin America’s economy.

The two awards bestowed by LatinFinance are:

  • Infrastructure Financing of the Year — Central America for the Fourth Bridge Panama Financing: Latham advised on Panama Infrastructure Receivable Purchaser PLC’s multi-tranche structure to finance the construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal. The firm represented the managers in a US$1.42 billion offering in April and the note investor in a US$119 million offering in March.
  • Oil & Gas Financing of the Year — Yinson Anna Nery FPSO Refinancing: Latham advised the global coordinators, joint bookrunners, and co-managers on Yinson Boronia Production B.V.’s offering of US$1.035 billion in senior secured notes. The firm also advised the issuing banks and lenders under a letter of credit facility to fund reserve accounts in connection with the bond financing. A portion of the proceeds of the offering were applied to refinance an existing facility to build the floating production, storage, and offloading vessel “Anna Nery.”

The firm has also been honored recently for its work in the region by Latin Lawyer, IJInvestor, Chambers Latin America, and The Legal 500 Latin America.
