Latham & Watkins Advises Hunter Point Capital on GP Stakes Transaction and Strategic Partnership With Pretium
Pretium, a specialized investment firm with more than US$50 billion in assets under management, has announced a strategic partnership with Hunter Point Capital (HPC). This partnership, which includes a minority investment from HPC, aims to support the long-term growth of Pretium's existing strategies — residential real estate and corporate and structured credit — and enable the firm to expand into adjacent areas to create additional value for its clients, residents, and employees.
Latham & Watkins LLP represents HPC in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York M&A partner Alex Kelly and New York Investment Funds partner Erin Bergey, with support from New York Investment Funds partner John Kelley and M&A associates Edward Brennan, Michael Magstadt, and Mariah Levy. Advice was also provided on funds regulatory matters by Chicago partner Laura Ferrell; on tax matters by New York partner Gregory Hannibal; and on benefits and compensation matters by Washington, D.C. partner Adam Kestenbaum.
