Latham & Watkins Advises iCON Infrastructure and Strategic Fiber Networks on Acquisition of Northern Access and GIM

Latham & Watkins LLP has advised infrastructure investor iCON Infrastructure Management V Limited (iCON Infrastructure) and its telecommunications company Strategic Fiber Networks GmbH (SFN) on the acquisition of Northern Access GmbH (Northern Access) and GIM Glasfaser Infrastruktur Management GmbH (GIM). The seller is Deutsche Giga Access GmbH, a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG.

With this acquisition, SFN aims to further advance its fiber optic expansion in Germany. Northern Access and GIM will become part of the Strategic Fiber Networks group of companies, which already includes ropa GmbH, NGN Telekom GmbH, and wisotel GmbH and is realizing numerous network projects in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and Lower Saxony.
