Latham & Watkins Advises Lumi Story AI in Seed Funding
Lumi Story AI (Lumi), an artificial intelligence platform to help aspiring storytellers share their work founded by civil rights activist and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, has announced it has raised US$4 million in venture capital funding. The seed round was led by Seven Seven Six, alongside Kapor Capital and Impellent Ventures, and notable angel investors like Mariam Naficy (founder of Minted), David Sze, Chamillionaire, and tech execs from Meta, Anthropic, ContextualAI, Sleeper, Pave, and more.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Lumi in the transaction with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partner Brian Patterson, with associates Kojo Hayward* and Lauren Lockett.
