Latham & Watkins Advises on Mercer International Inc.’s US$200 Million Private Offering of Senior Notes

Mercer International Inc. (Nasdaq: MERC), a global forest products company with operations in Germany, the United States, and Canada, has announced the pricing of its private offering of US$200 million in aggregate principal amount of 12.875% senior notes due October 1, 2028. The offering is expected to close on or around September 21, 2023, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Latham & Watkins LLP is representing the initial purchasers in the offering with a capital markets team led by Chicago partners Christopher Lueking and Jonathan Sarna, New York partner Benjamin Stern, and Chicago counsel Manasi Bhattacharyya, with associates KC Sands, Omeed Valipour, and Matthew Galligan. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Chicago partner Rene de Vera.
