Latham & Watkins Advises on the Acquisition of GoldenChain

Republic, a leading investment firm, has announced the acquisition of GoldenChain, a wholly owned subsidiary of GoldenTree Asset Management, that manages the firm’s digital assets funds. Republic has partnered with Joe Naggar, a partner at GoldenTree with a focus on digital assets, in connection with the acquisition and who will transition from his role at GoldenTree into the next phase of his career to fully concentrate his efforts in the digital asset class as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Republic Digital.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Joe Naggar and Republic Digital in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Peter Labonski and Daniel Mun, and New York counsel Jennifer Wong, with associate Philip Turpin.
