Latham & Watkins Advises Sublime Systems in US$75 Million in Investments by CRH and Holcim
Low-carbon cement technology leader Sublime Systems has announced it is accelerating its mission of swift and massive impact on global CO2 emissions through US$75 million in investments by two of the world’s largest building materials providers, CRH and Holcim. The partnerships support near-term development and operations of Sublime’s first commercial manufacturing facility in Holyoke, Massachusetts with a corporate equity investment and a binding offtake reservation of the Sublime Cement™ produced there, while laying the foundation for a rapid expansion of full-scale manufacturing plants with Sublime’s technology once the Holyoke plant is complete.
Latham & Watkins LLP has represented Sublime Systems since its formation and represents Sublime Systems in the transactions with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Boston partner Dan Hoffman, with associates Daniel McCarthy and Martha Anderson. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Chicago partner Rene de Vera, with associate Jeremiah Cowen.
