Latham & Watkins Advises Thomson Reuters in Acquisition of SurePrep
Thomson Reuters Corporation (“Thomson Reuters”) (NYSE / TSX: TRI) has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire SurePrep, LLC, a US-based leader in 1040 tax automation software and services, for US$500 million in cash. Thomson Reuters expects to receive an estimated tax benefit with a net present value at time of purchase of approximately US$60 million as part of the transaction.
