Firm earns top spot for global and US M&A by value in league tables.

Latham & Watkins has ranked the #1 M&A legal advisor globally by value for 2020 in league tables published by Mergermarket. The firm earned Mergermarket’s top global ranking for all four quarters of 2020, after advising on 455 deals with a total value of US$470 billion. The value of M&A deals Latham advised on globally increased by 13% from 2019.

Refinitiv also ranked Latham as the #1 M&A legal advisor in the US by value in 2020, reporting that the firm advised on more than US$358 billion worth of M&A deals with US involvement.
