Latham & Watkins Represents Litmus Music and Carlyle in Creative Partnership With Katy Perry
Litmus Music, a music rights business backed by Carlyle’s (NASDAQ: CG) Global Credit Platform, announced that they have entered into a creative partnership with Katy Perry. The deal covers all five of Perry’s studio albums released for Capitol Records between 2008 and 2020, which include 16 multi-platinum singles.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Litmus Music and Carlyle in a financing, the proceeds of which were used in part to support the creative partnership. New York partners Stelios Saffos and Peter Sluka and counsel Marcela Ruenes led the debt finance team, with associates Julio Martinez Rivas and Andrea Olaya Gomez, and Washington, D.C. partner Cory Tull led the corporate team, with associate Brad Johnson.
