Partners Named to Latin America's Top 100 Lawyers List

Partners Roderick Branch, Christopher Cross, Antonio Del Pino, and Fernando Mantilla-Serrano, all members of the firm’s Latin America Practice, have been named to Latinvex’s 2018 Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers list, which recognizes the leading lawyers from international law firms who are doing business in the region.

• Branch focuses on capital markets transactions and securities regulation. Recently, he advised Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova), one of the largest private-sector energy companies in Mexico, in its US$840 million inaugural bond offering on the international capital markets; US$1.6 billion follow-on equity offering, the largest equity sale in Latin America in 2016; and US$598 million global initial public offering, the first IPO by an energy company on the Mexican Stock Exchange. He also recently advised Vista Oil & Gas in its $650 million global IPO, the first SPAC IPO in Latin America.
• Cross is a corporate and finance transactional lawyer and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Energy - Oil & Gas Industry Group. He represents companies, government institutions, sovereign and private equity funds, and lenders in international joint venture, acquisition, project development, and financing transactions, primarily in the energy, extractive industry, and infrastructure sectors.
• Del Pino, Global Co-Chair of the Latin America Practice, focuses on cross-border acquisitions, financings, private equity transactions, and restructurings. He has worked on numerous complex multi-national acquisitions and joint ventures in Latin America and the US, and regularly represents banks and borrowers in a variety of finance and restructuring transactions.
• Mantilla-Serrano, Global Co-Chair of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice, is acclaimed for his depth of knowledge and experience in international arbitration, representing companies, states, and state-owned entities in highly complex commercial and investor-state disputes. He has acted as lead counsel in arbitrations conducted under the main institutional arbitration rules (ICC, LCIA, SCC, ICDR), as well as ad hoc rules, in venues around the globe.
  
  Criteria for inclusion on the Latinvex list involves a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of the firm in Latin America, and rankings by third parties, such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and Thomson Reuters.
