Marcela Ruenes Recognized Among Top 100 Female Lawyers in Latin America
New York counsel Marcela Ruenes has been named by Latinvex to its Latin America’s Top Female Lawyers list for the second year in a row. The annual list, selected by Latinvex’s editorial and research staff, recognizes the top 100 female lawyers specializing in Latin America among international law firms. The criteria for selection included recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America, and rankings.

Her practice focuses on leveraged financings, unitranche solutions, asset-based lending, and investment grade loans, as well as debt restructurings including debtor-in-possession and exit financings.
Ruenes also maintains an active pro bono practice with a particular focus on immigration and asylum matters, including representing victims of domestic violence in obtaining protection under VAWA.
