Partner Bob Steinberg Named an “IP Trailblazer”

Litigation partner Bob Steinberg has been honored among a select group of intellectual property lawyers featured in the third annual issue of The National Law Journal’s “IP Trailblazers” report, which includes practitioners who have “shown a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission, having achieved remarkable results along the way,” according to the legal publication. In his published profile, Steinberg recounted his experiences in private practice and as the CEO of a software company, which helped establish him as an innovator and market leader. He recently stepped further into the forefront by working with a range of colleagues to form the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) Bar Association (www.ptabbar.org), which elected him as the organization’s first president. The PTAB Bar Association is the first national bar association of its scope formed in more than 30 years, and it has already held a highly successful inaugural conference in Washington, D.C. and formed committees to advance a range of initiatives designed to promote the highest professional and ethical standards among lawyers and stakeholders who appear before the PTAB. Steinberg also leads Latham’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board Practice. Previously, IP Litigation Practice Co-chair Matthew Moore was similarly honored in the inaugural “IP Trailblazers” report in 2014.
