Corporate and litigation partners named to BTI’s 2017 “Client Service All-Stars.”
Based on its annual survey of corporate counsel and executives, the BTI Consulting Group has honored seven Latham & Watkins partners as 2017 “Client Service All-Stars,” including David Allinson, Bill Baker, Johan “Hans” Brigham, Matthew Brill, Julian Kleindorfer, Rüdiger Malaun and Jeffrey Muñoz. The list calls out legal advisers who have gained “recognition from leading General Counsel and legal decision makers… to earn this level of praise from influential clients,” according to BTI Consulting.
David Allinson, a New York partner who serves as Global Co-chair of the Mergers & Acquisition Practice, advises public and private companies and private equity firms in acquisitions, dispositions, carve-outs, tender offers, going-private transactions, co-investments, joint ventures and general corporate matters, including corporate governance and takeover defense.
Bill Baker, a Washington, D.C. partner and former Global Co-chair of the Securities Litigation & Professional Liability Practice and a founding Chair of the Financial Institutions Industry Group, represents clients in a broad range of business regulatory and corporate governance matters, including representing public companies and their boards, investment banks and other financial institutions in internal and government investigations and enforcement proceedings.
Hans Brigham, the Office Managing Partner in Boston, focuses his practice on providing transaction-based counsel for private equity, growth equity and venture firms, as well as strategic acquirers and sellers primarily in the life sciences and medical device industries.
Matthew Brill, a Washington, D.C. partner who chairs the Communications Law Practice, represents communications companies in a broad range of regulatory, litigation and transactional matters. He was named a “Client Service All-Star” for the second consecutive year.
Julian Kleindorfer, a Los Angeles partner who serves as Global Co-chair of the REITs Industry Group, advises clients on M&A and corporate finance transactions and general company representation, with a particular focus on the real estate, hospitality, gaming and insurance industries.
Rüdiger Malaun, a Global Co-chair of the Capital Market Practice based in Munich, has a particular focus on advising on debt capital market financings, including high-yield bonds and other debt instruments, as well as on equity and equity-linked capital markets instruments.
Jeffrey Muñoz, a Houston M&A partner, represents oil and gas companies, private equity, hedge funds and other financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, finance, project development and other transactions related to the energy industry.
