Leading Private Equity Partner To Join Latham & Watkins in London
Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Paul Dolman will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Dolman is one of the UK’s leading private equity practitioners, with vast experience advising institutional investors and management teams on a variety of complex cross-border investments and divestments.
“Paul is a prolific dealmaker and one of the market’s leading private equity lawyers,” said Stephen Kensell, Office Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins in London. “He has steered a number of the UK’s most significant buyouts in recent years, and he will be a tremendous asset to our preeminent London practice.”
Dolman has more than twenty years’ experience advising some of Europe’s most active private investors on their most significant transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged acquisitions, public to privates, minority investments, restructurings, and disposals.
“Paul’s phenomenal track record and reputation place him in the top tier of practitioners in the City,” commented London private equity partner David Walker, who serves as Global Vice Chair of Latham & Watkins’ Corporate Department. “His connections and deal experience are highly complementary to the firm’s, and he will play a major role in the continued expansion of our practice in the UK and globally.”
“Paul is a seasoned practitioner and an experienced leader. His formidable transactional and advisory expertise will add tremendous firepower to our existing private equity capabilities.” said Kem Ihenacho, Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Private Equity Practice.
Dolman joins Latham & Watkins from Travers Smith. He graduated from and completed his law school diploma at the University of Bristol, qualifying as a solicitor of England & Wales in 1998.
