Private Equity Finance Associate Wins Diversity in Fund Finance Award

Donald Cooley, an associate in Latham’s Washington, D.C. office, has received the Diversity in Fund Finance Award from the Fund Finance Association (FFA). The award, which was presented at the 11th Annual Global Fund Finance Symposium, honors individuals for their commitment to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the FFA, the workplace, and the broader fund finance community.    

Cooley, a member of the firm’s Private Equity Finance Practice, represents borrowers in secured lending and other financing transactions, including private equity and private debt subscriptions lines of credit, acquisition and carve-out financings, and debt restructurings. In addition to his practice, Cooley serves on Latham’s Associates Committee and is the former Global Chair of the firm’s First Generation Professionals Affinity Group and a former member of the Pro Bono Committee. He is a member of the FFA’s Diversity Committee and in 2020 was awarded the FFA’s inaugural Rising Star Award.
