San Diego Associate and Counsel Recognized for Commitment to Pro Bono

Associate Madeleine West and counsel Aaron Friberg were honored for their dedication to pro bono with Casa Cornelia’s Pro Bono Publico Award, given to lawyers who “embody the spirit of Casa Cornelia by representing our clients with compassion, dedication and perseverance.” Casa Cornelia is a public interest law firm that provides legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations in greater San Diego County.

Both West and Friberg have taken on a variety of cases related to Casa Cornelia’s victims of crime program, which provides free legal representation to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. West has also provided legal services to at-risk Afghans who were airlifted out of Kabul during the Operation Allies Refuge evacuation effort as part of Casa Cornelia’s Afghan Project.
