International Trade and Sanctions Lawyers Win 2016 Distinguished Legal Writing Award

Washington, D.C.- based partner Les Carnegie and associate Andrew Galdes were honored with the 2016 Distinguished Legal Writing Burton Award for the article they co-authored for Bloomberg BNA International Trade Daily Bulletin, Free Flow of Information: Exporting Telecommunications Items and Services to Cuba. The Distinguished Legal Writing Burton Awards are given to 30 partners from the nation's 1,000 largest law firms who demonstrate clarity, cogency, and persuasive legal writing in an article published the preceding year. The awards ceremony featured a speech from Supreme Court Justice Steven Breyer and a memorial of Justice Antonin Scalia by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
