Robert Collins III and Peter Sluka recognized among the “best of the future of the legal profession.”

Robert (Robbie) Collins III, a Litigation & Trial Practice partner in Chicago, and Peter Sluka, a corporate and finance partner in New York, have been named to Bloomberg Law’s 2024 “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” list, which honors the “best of the future of the legal profession.” The list, selected by Bloomberg Law’s editorial team, recognizes the accomplishments of the top young lawyers nationwide for their ability to “elevate, innovate and serve — not only clients but their communities beyond.”

Collins, a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice, represents companies in complex commercial litigation, particularly involving class action defense and high-stakes business-to-business disputes. His published profile features several successes in high-profile litigation nationwide, including a complete defense victory in a case accusing The Dow Chemical Company of selling a dry-cleaning chemical that contaminated the city of Modesto’s soil and groundwater, as well as successfully resolving dozens of class action lawsuits on behalf of clients including Netflix, X Corp., and Advocate Aurora Health.

Sluka, Global Co-Chair of the Hybrid Capital Practice and member of the Capital Markets and Banking Practices, advises on private debt and alternative capital financings, as well as traditional capital markets transactions. His published profile highlights his work advising credit funds and other alternative lenders in a financing supporting Vista Equity Partners’ US$16.5 billion take-private acquisition of Citrix Systems, Inc., and the preferred equity providers in connection with Zendesk’s US$10.2 billion acquisition by an investor group led by global investment firms Permira and Hellman & Friedman, the largest privately financed leveraged buyout in history by debt size.
