Two Washington, D.C. Tax Counsel Inducted Into the American College of Tax Counsel
Washington, D.C. Tax Counsel Andrew Strelka and Joshua Wu have been inducted as fellows into the American College of Tax Counsel (the College), a nonprofit association of tax attorneys recognized for their excellence in tax practice and substantial contributions to the legal profession.
To become a fellow of the College, individuals must be nominated by a current fellow and evaluated by a committee of the College’s Board of Regents. Membership criteria include being a member of the bar in one or more states for at least 15 years, a career principally devoted to tax law and tax-related matters, and demonstrating a high standard of excellence and ethical conduct in the practice of tax law.
Andrew Strelka served as Senior Tax Counsel in the Biden White House and in the Department of Justice Tax Division, where he litigated various civil tax matters. He advises clients on a full range of tax controversy matters, with a particular focus on district court tax litigation, IRS appeals, summonses and enforcement, exempt organizations, Administrative Procedure Act issues, and federal excise tax issues.
Joshua Wu is a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Appellate and Review in the Tax Division of the US Department of Justice. He counsels and advocates for companies and high-net-worth individuals on all aspects of tax controversies and litigation. He advises on issues ranging from tax accounting disputes to corporate and partnership matters, international questions, employee benefits, and transfer pricing.
