Wesley Tiu is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. He represents clients across a variety of industries in both complex commercial litigation and white collar defense and investigations matters.

Wesley maintains a diverse, complex civil litigation practice. He works with clients, including public and private companies, through all stages of litigation up to and including trial. He has experience briefing motions, preparing witnesses to testify, supporting fact and expert depositions, and managing discovery.

Wesley also represents clients in high-stakes internal and governmental investigations initiated by federal and state enforcement agencies. These investigations have covered a broad range of civil and criminal issues such as trade secret misappropriation, wire and bank fraud, consumer protection, and privacy.

An active member of the firm’s pro bono program, Wesley primarily represents clients in federal civil rights litigation and asylum proceedings.

Wesley earned his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where upon graduation, he was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Wesley worked as a judicial extern for Justice Tracie L. Brown at the California Court of Appeal and as a legal intern for the Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. Prior to attending law school, Wesley worked as a disputes and investigations consultant at a business consultancy firm.
