Luca Marquard is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins.

Luca focuses his practice on advising growth-stage companies in various industries, including software, fintech, life sciences and energy, and venture capital funds investing in such companies. Luca advises his clients in various transactional matters, including:

  • Venture capital financings
  • Early-stage formation and corporate strategy
  • Commercial agreements
  • Day-to-day corporate matters

Luca is a member of the Emerging Companies & Growth and Digital Assets & Web3 Practices. With a commercial mindset, he provides innovative solutions to cryptocurrency and Web3 companies on token launches, DAO formation, and related regulatory matters.

Luca also advises public companies on buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, equity and debt offerings, and public company reporting matters.

Luca received his law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While in law school, he served as a senior editor of the Southern California Law Review and was an LLM Legal Writing Fellow. 

Before attending law school, Luca competed as a division 1 college tennis player at the University of California, Irvine, where he served as team captain for two years.
