Abid Ahmed is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Ahmed primarily handles capital markets, general securities, and corporate matters. He advises public and private companies and investment banking firms on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions across industries. 

His experience includes: 

  • Initial public offerings (IPOs) and subsequent equity financings 
  • Debt and equity-linked offerings
  • Mergers and acquisitions 
  • Private offerings, including venture financings
  • SEC related matters, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters

Mr. Ahmed currently serves as the New York local leader of the firm’s First Generation Professionals Group. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting individuals seeking asylum protections in the United States.

Mr. Ahmed’s select experience includes advising: 

  • Funko Inc., on a US$263 million acquisition of their common stock by a consortium led by TCG
  • The initial purchasers in connection with the US$750 million offering of senior notes of Iron Mountain
  • Morgan Stanley in connection with the US$272 million and US$232 million secondary public offerings of common stock of Dutch Bros 
  • The initial purchasers in connection with the US$450 million offering of convertible notes of Progress Software
  • The underwriters in connection with the US$300 million offering of common stock of Dutch Bros
