Abid Ahmed

Abid Ahmed is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Abid primarily handles capital markets, general securities, and corporate matters. He advises public and private companies and investment banking firms on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions across industries. 

His experience includes: 

• Initial public offerings (IPOs) and subsequent equity financings 
• Debt and equity-linked offerings
• Mergers and acquisitions 
• Private offerings, including venture financings
• SEC related matters, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters

Abid currently serves as the New York local leader of the firm’s First Generation Professionals Group. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting individuals seeking asylum protections in the United States.
