Akina Judith Newbraugh represents underwriters, initial purchasers, and issuers in connection with a variety of transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Akina worked at another large law firm in their capital markets group where she represented corporate clients in a variety of corporate finance matters, including initial public offerings, SPAC transactions, and high yield and convertible debt offerings.

While attending law school, Akina served as an executive editor of the American Criminal Law Review and as a member of the Business Law Scholars Program.
