Alvaro López Usatorre is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice.
Alvaro advises multinational companies on EU competition law matters with a particular focus on merger control, State aid and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Latham, Alvaro worked at a leading boutique specialized in EU and Spanish competition law in Madrid. He has also worked as a trainee at the Directorate General for Competition at the European Commission, where he focused on antitrust issues in the media sector.
Alvaro contributes to some of the leading academic blogs and magazines in the field of competition law, such as Concurrences, Wolters Kluwer, and Global Competition Litigation Review.
