Andrea Lea Charters advises private equity sponsors and corporate issuers — including executive officers, directors, and large shareholders — on compliance with regulations relating to securities ownership.

Ms. Charters leverages a broad background in corporate and US securities law and her operational business perspective to help clients navigate Williams Act section 13 and 16 filings involving:

Before joining Latham, Ms. Charters practiced in law firm and in-house settings and served as an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, where she taught advanced courses on international business and trade law. A recognized thought leader, she has extensively presented before the Association of Corporate Counsel on securities and international law.

Ms. Charters is a member of the Harvard Law School Women’s Alliance of Washington, D.C.; the Harvard Law School Alumni Association; and the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.
