Angelina Richards is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Gina represents clients in all stages of civil tax disputes, from administrative proceedings to litigation. She provides comprehensive guidance on administrative matters, with experience in both drafting comments to agency guidance and navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

Gina also advises clients on domestic and cross-border private and public company tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and the formation and structuring of private investment funds across a wide range of strategies, and structures.

Gina represents clients across industries, including global nonprofits, private equity, technology, and international financial institutions. 

Gina has an active pro bono practice where she assists with the formation of nonprofit entities.

Before joining Latham, Gina served as a law clerk to Judge Mark V. Holmes of the United States Tax Court.

Gina is an active member of the J. Edgar Murdock Inns of Court.

Gina’s experience includes: 

  • Advising non-profit organizations in structuring and implementing comprehensive plans to optimize their operational and financial framework, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Ongoing representation pre-litigation in the single largest dollar transfer pricing tax dispute in history with many tens of billions of dollars at stake
