Brian Kim is a litigation and trial associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Brian represents public and private companies on various intellectual property matters, including patent infringement actions and IP counseling.

He advises clients in a variety of industries — software, chemical compositions, video games, and NFT technology.

Brian maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking asylum and immigration relief.

While in law school, Brian served on the Board of the IP Law Association, the Journal of International Law and Policy, and the Moot Court Honors Board. Brian also externed for ON24 and competed in the 2024 Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining Latham, Brian worked at PayPal in the Global Analytics & Insights group and also served as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army.
