Claire Bang is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's Finance Department.

Claire's practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions, sponsor and developers in connection with all phases of the development and financing of domestic and international energy, and hospitality projects, with a focus in the renewable energy sector.

Claire's experience includes advising:

  • The lenders in the project financing of a 200 MWac solar project located in Ada County, Idaho
  • The lender in the project financing of a 250 MWac solar facility located in Milam County, Texas
  • Consolidated Edison in its sale of Con Edison Clean Energy and its subsidiaries to RWE Renewables Americas, a subsidiary of RWE Akteingesellschaft
  • The lenders in the project financing of a 145MW wind project located in Weld County, Colorado
  • The sponsor in connection with the tax equity financing of a 300MWac solar project and battery energy storage system located in Pinal County, Arizona
  • The lenders in a project financing in connection with the acquisition of a portfolio of solar projects with a capacity of approximately 350 MWs located in Florida, California, Virginia, and Arizona
  • The lead arrangers in several financings of private equity acquisitions and portfolio companies
  • The lenders in a financing of a portfolio of projects focused on converting waste to biogas
  • The issuer in connection with a US$235 million term ABS securitization collateralized by a portfolio of residential solar loans*
  • The issuer in connection with a US$373.4 million ABS securitization collateralized by a portfolio of aircraft and aircraft engines*
  • Aircraft leasing companies and airlines in connection with the aircraft acquisitions and relating financings*
