Conor Nolan is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, public takeovers, reorganisations, and general corporate matters. His practice covers a variety of sectors, including insurance and energy. 

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Nolan worked in the corporate department of a major Irish law firm, based in Dublin. He has also spent time on secondment to one of the world’s leading drinks companies. 

Mr. Nolan’s experience includes advising: 

  • Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the sale of a stake in Finerge, a renewable energy producer, to AXA Real Estate Investment Management
  • TotalEnergies on the acquisition of UAE-based oil and gas assets including the SARB and Umm Lulu offshore oilfields, as well as a minority stake in Japan-based Cosmo E&P Abu Dhabi, from Compañía Española de Petróleos (CEPSA)
  • Vivo Energy, a subsidiary of Vitol, on the acquisition of a 74% stake in Engen, a South Africa-based company that refines crude oil and markets petroleum and related products
  • KoBold Metals on its acquisition of Mingomba Copper, a Zambia-based copper and cobalt mine
  • L Catterton, a leading global consumer-focused investment firm, on GP stakes sale to Hunter Point Capital
  • A US-listed insurance company on its acquisition of a leading Irish insurance broker*
  • An Irish-listed real estate investment trust on its €1.089 billion sale to a global alternative investment management company*
  • A consortium on their take-private acquisition of an Irish-listed petrol and forecourt retailer for €718 million*
  • A Finnish-listed renewable energy producer on its acquisition of an Irish animal fats trader*
