Emily Moreton is a Finance associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Project Development & Finance practice.

Ms. Moreton represents sponsors, developers, equity investors, commercial banks, and other financial institutions in connection with the development and financing of a variety of energy and infrastructure projects, including solar and wind projects and other renewable energy projects.

Before joining Latham, Ms. Moreton practiced at a leading international law firm in Australia.

As part of her pro bono practice, Ms. Moreton has represented various Indigenous-led organizations in Australia.

Ms. Moreton’s experience includes advising:

  • A consortium of sponsors in relation to the US$3.8 billion project financing of a power transmission project with local shareholders ADNOC and TAQA in the United Arab Emirates*
  • Sponsors on financing, developing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the A$4.5 billion Karratha Urea Plant in Western Australia*
  • Sponsors on financing and developing the Capital Battery Project in the Australian Capital Territory*
  • Sponsors on financing and developing the largest wind farm, Golden Plains Wind Farm, in Victoria, Australia*
  • Sponsors on the A$397 million portfolio refinancing of the Snapper Point Power Plant and Lincoln Gap Wind Farm projects in South Australia*
  • Financiers on the A$646 million refinancing of the Peninsula Link public-private partnership in Victoria, Australia*
