Gladys Ma is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

She advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and capital markets transactions. 

Gladys’ experience includes advising:

  • ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, a leading data center colocation services provider, on its SGD1.75 billion (approximately US$1.3 billion) investment from global investment firm KKR (through its Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II Fund), and Singtel, Asia’s leading communications technology group. The transaction marks the largest digital infrastructure investment in Southeast Asia to date in 2024
  • Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited in its US$900 million privatization of C.P. Pokphand Co. Ltd, a Hong Kong listed company, by way of a scheme of arrangement 
  • Warburg Pincus on the joint venture with Lendlease's life science business in Asia to launch a specialist real estate platform capitalizing on the growing life sciences sector in Asia Pacific
  • Warburg Pincus on the strategic merger of two of its existing portfolio companies, D&J China and New Ease China, two of the leading new economy infrastructure platforms in China, and its related equity financing
  • ARA Asset Management Limited (ARA), the largest real assets manager in Asia Pacific, on a US$5.2 billion business combination of the ARA Group with ESR Cayman Limited to become APAC’s leading real asset manager and the third-largest listed real estate investment manager globally  
  • Warburg Pincus and another investor as the co-lead investor group on the US$700 million Series A preferred share financing for JD Property, the infrastructure asset management and integrated service platform within JD.com group
  • Aspex Management on its Series E investment as lead investor into Klook, an online travel activities and services booking platform company 
  • Kuaishou Technology, a leading content community and social platform globally, on its US$5.4 billion initial public offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange 
  • The underwriters on the secondary listing and US$1.07 billion initial public offering of Trip.com, a leading one-stop travel platform globally, on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited  
  • Bain Capital on the refinancing of an existing loan from CTBC to Rise Education, the leading English-language training institution in China owned and controlled by Bain Capital 
  • CVC on the financing for the acquisition of Sajjan India, a manufacturer of chemicals 
  • Carlyle on the financing for the acquisition of A Twosome Place, a South Korea-based coffee shop chain
  • I Squared Capital in connection with the amendment and restatement of a HK$7.5 billion facility
