Hui-Yan Chew is an associate in the Singapore office’s Project Development & Finance Practice.

Ms. Chew’s practice focuses on the representation of sponsors, borrowers, credit agencies, commercial and investment banks, and other financial institutions on banking and project finance transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors.

Ms. Chew’s recent experience includes advising:

  • PTTEP Sarawak Oil Limited (a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production) in connection with a strategic disposal of a minority participating interest in an upstream oil and gas block in Sarawak, Malaysia, to a subsidiary of Petronas
  • JBIC, Asian Development Bank, and the commercial bank lenders on post-completion matters relating to the Sarulla geothermal power project in North Sumatra, Indonesia — the largest single geothermal power project in Indonesia and at the forefront of new geothermal developments in Indonesia under the Fast Track 2 program 
  • Golden Energy and Resources on its offer of US$90 million 8.5% notes due 2026 in connection with the refinancing of its US$150 million 9% notes due 2023
